       RECRUITMENT & SELECTION PROSEDURES

     

    1. The Criteria

    • Indonesia Seaman
    • In good mental and good health conditions
    • Age between 22-55 for Ratings and 22-60 for Officer
    • Minimum High School graduate and minimum one year sea service for rating
    • Internal Maritime Organization (IMO) Convention Standard

     

    2. The Procedures

    • Promotion
    • Recruitment
    • Preselection
    • English Test
    • Selection - Interview and psycho test (if required)
    • Sending the biodata of each candidate for the principals examination, consideration, and final approval
    • Medical examination (IMO standard)
    • Completing travel / assignment documents including visa
    • Booking air ticket or PTA (Prepaid Ticket Advice)
    • Departure / embarkation

    3. Time required from selection until departure from Jakarta to joining vessel port

    Minimum 2 (two) working weeks. Possibly 1 (one) working week if all the seaman’s documents are still valid.

     

    STANDARD PROPOSAL

    1. Crew Wages :

    There are 4 (four) categories :

    • ILO (International Labour Organization) standard
    • Indonesia Seamen’s Union Standard
    • Total Crew Cost ITF Standard
    • Your Own Standard

    2. Collective Bargaining Agreement and Individual Working Contract : Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) between foreign Ship Owner and PT. Aman Arwita Maritime Agency. The Foreign Ship Owner, who would like to employ Indonesian Crews should make and sign the CBA, Which contains the standard individual Working contract and other regulations, compensation, insurance, etc
